Even though there is no title yet for the Han Solo spinoff movie in the "Star Wars" film franchise, fans are already anticipating on the adventures of the dashing smuggler who captured Princess Leia's heart. The movie will begin filming by next month, and reports indicate that it will be shot in Spain.

iDigital Times reports that Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, has described the Han Solo movie as a heist and Western film. And it seems that a perfect location has been chosen for the movie as El Blog de Cine Espanol, as cited by Star Wars News Net, reports. The island of Fuerteventura in Spain was apparently chosen as one the important film locations.

Fuerteventura is found in the Canary Islands near Africa and boasts of not only beautiful beaches and coastlines but also of volcanic mountains and lavascapes. The Han Solo film seems to be taking the route that the previous "Star Wars" film has taken by filming in out of the way locations. Fans will know that the recent movies had shots filmed in places like Tunisia, Maldives and Skellig Michael as reported by Screen Rant. Aside from Spain, it was reported that the movie will also shoot in the UK, and speculations say that Italy has also been chosen although no specific place has been cited.

The movie, which is set to be released on May 25, 2018, will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Starring in the titular role is Alden Ehrenreich, who will bring to life a young Han Solo. Joining him in his adventures, set between the movies "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope", are actors Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover, who will be playing a young Lando Calrissian.

With "Rogue One" currently enjoying massive success all over the globe since its release, it would be safe to say that the next "Star Wars" film will be welcomed with the same excitement as its predecessors.
