Here is a bit of good news for Justin Bieber fans in India. The Canadian pop star will be performing Mumbai this coming May as part of his Purpose World Tour. This will mark the first time in nearly 4 years since Justin has performed in India.

The 22-year old Grammy Award winning singer will be performing at the DY Patil Stadium. The concert will be a one-night only affair.

If Bieber's trip pushes through, then it would be India's second largest international celebrity performance right after British rock band Coldplay, according to Yahoo News.  Coldplay performed in India in November of last year along with Demi Lovato and Jay-Z, as a part of the Global Citizen Festival, a special charity event that was held at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

More than 80,000 people were said to have attended the festival last November 19. It still remains unclear whether or not the "Sorry" singer will be able to recreate the same kind of magical atmosphere that Coldplay had when they performed in India.

He is currently busy with his Purpose World Tour, which is the third global tour of his career. His last performance was in London last November 29. His next stop will be in Monterrey, Mexico where he is scheduled to perform in February.

Other cities in Asia where he will be performing during his tour are Tel Aviv and Dubai. The pop star has been making headlines early into the New Year when he offered to pay his former neighbors whose house he pelted with eggs a little over three years ago. According to the Daily Mail, the singer has paid nearly $90,000 in damages for the egging incident.

Bieber has also been bashed by netizens after it was reported that he had ditched his 7-month old puppy, Todd. The puppy has been adopted by C.J. Salvador, one of his backup dances.
