"Prison Break" Season 5 has an official trailer released on the May 16, 2016, which has made the fans of the TV series nuts about its air date. The upcoming season is the most anticipated TV series of 2016, which is because of its cliffhanger ending in Season 4.

According to Independent, the month of September in 2016 brought the beginning of a whole new lineup of TV shows. Most of the audiences are however, more interested in "Prison Break." In the same report, they stated a total of 19.5 million social media engagement between the months of May and August after the "Prison Break" Season 4 ended and was followed by "Prison Break: The Final Break" movie.

The value of 19.5 million is twenty times more than any other TV series, which is quite impressive and has overlapped the "This Is Us" TV show which has reached a mere total of 1.56 million and landed on 2nd of the most anticipated TV series.

The third most anticipated TV series was the TV show reboot of "MacGyver," which was released on the CBS network on September 23, 2016 and will air until January 13, 2017. The "MacGyver" reboot earned a total of 558,073 social media engagements and that is pretty much lower than "This Is Us" and incomparable to "Prison Break."

The "Prison Break" Season 5 trailer  of May 2016 has revealed many of the fan favorite characters of the series such as Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), Theodore Bagwell (Robert Knepper), Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), and Benjamin Miles Franklin (Rockmond Dunbar).

According to Yahoo! Tech, there was no real prison break that has happened in "Prison Break" Season 4, and the adventures of Michael Scofield and his gang are not really that exciting once they were out of the prison. On the other hand, the upcoming "Prison Break" Season 5 truly deserves to be one of the most anticipated TV series of all time, and it is expected to release its first episode by April of this year. However, this coming season might change everything that was such a cliffhanger in the last season since Michael Scofield got arrested again.
