Sony has come up with a two-part anime version of its hit game "Gravity Rush" to help bridge the gap between the sequel of the game. One reviewer said that the anime can help fans and players have a greater feel for the characters.

According to PlayStationLifestyle, the anime is entitled "Gravity Rush: The Animation - Overture" and is produced by Studio Khara, the studio that produced "Rebuild of Evangelion." It's a two-part series that runs close to 20 minutes combined.

It is aimed to bridge the gap between "Gravity Rush" and "Gravity Rush 2." Fans will also be delighted to know that the series will be using "Gravity Rush's" own unique dialect, letting them feel the game while they are watching.

Though the "Gravity Rush" the animation is created to bridge the gap between the two games, Joey Davidson of TechnoBuffalo said that fans and players wouldn't actually be lost if they play the sequel without watching the anime. However, the anime will help them get a greater feel for the characters.

The anime basically offers fans and players a way to look at Kat differently, outside of the video games. Aside from Kat, Raven and Syd will also be in the anime, as well as Kat's cat and Raven's crow.

Davidson said the anime doesn't really tell a story that would seem important for fans and players to remember when they play the game. But the anime does show Kat's goofball side, how she jokes, and how much she adores food, which is something that the games weren't able to show.

"Gravity Rush: The Animation - Overture" debuted on December 26, 2016, on the PlayStation YouTube Channel. "Gravity Rush 2" will be released on January 20, 2017, for PlayStation 4. The game will take place after the events of the previous game. View the anime in the video below.
