Talk Like a Pirate Day: Krispy Kreme Gives Out Free Donuts on September 19 [List of Participating Locations]

Ahoy Mateys! International Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19 and to celebrate, Krispy Kreme is giving away donuts to those who participate.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a fun world-wide craze that falls on September 19. The day, which has been internationally recognized for ten years, has drawn a lot of fans and many are looking forward to celebrating as they go about their day talking like a pirate.

Everyone who walks into a participating Krispy Kreme donut shop will get a free glazed donut if they utter a pirate phrase on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, Sept. 19. Those who take it a step further and wear a full pirate costume will get a dozen free glazed donuts.

For those who aren't quite sure how to talk like a pirate, some good phrases include: Ahoy Matey!,Aye Aye, Blow me down, Shiver me timbers, Heave ho!, Landlubber, Seadog, Thar she blows!, Yo Ho Ho! and of course, Arghh!

While pirates often carry swords, Krispy Kreme notes that everyone should leave the weapons at home. Eye patches and parrots are encouraged.
