Just like the rest of the gaming community, legendary gaming director and producer Hideo Kojima is also looking forward to all of the games scheduled to be released in 2017. But with so many games slated to be released in 2017, what exactly is the one that Kojima is looking forward to seeing and playing?

The "Metal Gear Solid" director recently sat down with GI.biz and told them that his favorite pick for upcoming games coming out in 2017 "Rock star's "Red Dead Redemption 2", the sequel to the highly acclaimed "Red Dead Redemption". Kojima says that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is on the very top of his priorities list.

Despite his status as a legendary icon in the video gaming industry, Kojima has always been a pretty big fan of Rockstar Games. As a matter of fact, he once became so impressed with "Grand Theft Auto V" back in 2013 that it actually made him depressed, according to an old report from Gamestop. He was worried that "Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain" might not have been able to keep up with all of the hype surrounding "GTA V" around that time.

He provided praise for Rockstar calling their team the best in the video game industry. He also believes Rockstar will have what it takes to pull off another potential instance classic. Assuming everything goes according to schedule, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during Fall 2017.

Based on the recent trailers released for the game, it is safe to assume that it will be one of the most visually striking games that have yet to be released. However, Rockstar has yet to share any other details about the game as of this writing, so we can only wait until more info is available in the foreseeable future.
