Toronto is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world with its rich culture, museums, and stunning skyline, but people check into Toronto's hotels for more than just vacation. Toronto hotels are also meeting spots for people who are looking to cheat on their spouses.

AshleyMadison.com surveyed 3,246 members from Toronto who have met at hotels for extramarital affairs, to determine which hotels are most popular for cheating in Canada's largest city.

"It's no secret that affairs generally take place in hotel rooms and away from the family home. Our research reveals that while these hotels may not be where they would stay on a typical business or family trip, to fulfill on the perfect affair, they tend to choose something more exotic, trendy and even romantic," said AshleyMadison.com founder and CEO Noel Biderman.

Here is the list of the top five Toronto hotels where people go to have affairs:

#1 - Sheraton - 31% (Queen / Yonge)
#2 - Fairmont Royal York - 19% (Front St. West)
#3 - The Hazelton - 16% (Yorkville)
#4 - Westin Harbour Castle - 16% (Harbour Square)
#5 - Hilton Garden Inn - 15% (Mississauga/Airport)

As a big hotspot for commuters and those on business, many of the hotels where people go to cheat are in the downtown area.

"In Toronto, it's not surprising that the majority of the affairs take place downtown," Biderman said "With so many people commuting into the city, as well as those visiting on business, hotels located downtown and near the airport are the ultimate choice."

Some of the other top cheating hotels include the Howard Johnson Hotel, the Radisson, and Sutton Place. The survey found that cheaters seem to steer clear of the Alexandra Hotel and Clarion Hotel and Suites.

The survey also revealed some interesting information in addition to where people go to cheat. It found that 48 percent of cheaters in Toronto commit their adulterous acts after 5pm while 32 percent choose the hours between noon and 5pm. Sixteen percent start the workday off the an early morning 6 am to 9am fling.

It is rare for a fling to turn into an all-night sleepover as 52 percent they stay for half of the day and 28 percent admitted to staying for just a few hours.

AshleyMadison.com is based out of Toronto, but they also conducted similar surveys for New York City and Los Angeles.
