Hollywood gossip isn't the only scandalous thing that goes on in Los Angeles, California. In fact, it isn't such a glamorous place as many are looking to cheat. Extramarital affairs occur in some of LA's most high-end hotels. AshleyMadison.com compiled a list of the most popular hotels where people go to have an affair in Los Angeles.
AshleyMadison.com, an online dating site for people who are looking to cheat, surveyed 2,768 male members and asked them what hotels they chose to meet their affair partners at.
The low cost Holiday Inn on Colorado Avenue topped the list as the most popular hotel where cheaters go to break their vows. However most of the hotels on the list are some of LA's priciest and most high-end hotels like the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Regent Beverly Wilshire (aka the Pretty Woman hotel .) At least they're more likely to change their sheets more often.
The top hotels for cheaters in New York are all high-end hotels. Hotels don't seem to pay any mind to why people are reserving a room for the night, or even a few hours. Business is business.
"Many hotels make more than half of their profits off affair clientele so they are more than happy to turn the other cheek when certain guests make a reservation under a fake name and leave after only a few hours," CEO Noel Biderman said in a release.
"Infidelity is a multibillion dollar-a-year industry," Biderman told The Huffington Post. "Many hotel chains would have serious economic suffering if that behavior pattern was eradicated."
In addition to the hotels, the survey showed what times people choose to meet up for an affair. Most meet during the day at 54 percent said they meet between noon and 5pm. Thirty-one percent said they meet up after 5pm. Only 14 percent meet between 9 am and noon and only 1 percent have an easrly morning rendezvous between 6 am and 9 am.
