Cheaters don't want to get caught, so there are certain hotels that they turn to for their rendezvous'. AshleyMadison.com, an online dating site for cheaters, released a list of the top hotels that cheaters choose to break their vows in New York City.

In a survey of more than 3,000 members, AshleyMadison.com found that the most popular hotel for cheating on a spouse is the luxurious W Hotel in Lexington Avenue, according to 29 percent of members. Rooms start around $269 at the W Hotel.

The W Hotel isn't the only luxurious, pricey spot that cheaters turn to in the Big Apple. All of the hotels on the top 10 list, with the exception of the Holiday Inn on West 57th street, are among the most luxurious hotels in the city. Even though they're classy establishments, scandalous acts occur between the sheets of the beds in these high class hotels pretty often and owners don't seem to mind.

"Many hotels make more than half of their profits off affair clientele so they are more than happy to turn the other cheek when certain guests make a reservation under a fake name and leaving after only a few hours," said AshleyMadison.com's founder and CEO Noel Biderman.

Biderman isn't kidding either. A doorman for the Sofitell, the tenth most popular cheating spot, admitted to seeing people coming to the hotel for affairs. He has even helped some.

"I see men come in here all the time to cheat on their wives," the Sofitel doorman said as quoted by the New York Post. "It happens all the time. I've seen wives have their husbands followed, and I've seen private eyes across the street taking pictures of them."

The doorman admitted to helping a regular customer get away with his affair as his wife followed him and was hiding in a car across from the hotel.

"He ended up waiting inside with the girl until his wife left and then sneaking out," the doorman said. "Who am I to judge him? He's a dog, for sure, but he's a customer, and we all turn a blind eye to these kinds of things," he told the Post.

The Holiday Inn was chosen as the second most popular hotel for cheating, according to 21 percent of members. This is the only hotel on the list that isn't so glamorous.

"I wonder if that was just a stand-in for cheaper places for people on second or third dates," the New York Post quoted Ashley Madison founder Noel Biderman as saying.

First-time cheaters usually go for the fancier hotels.

"It looks like people believe that if they're going to have an affair, they may as well get a hotel that makes an impression," he said.

In addition to the most popular hotels for cheating, the survey also showed that most extramarital hookups occur after 5pm according to 56.3 percent of members and they rarely last all night. Only 18.6 percent of people said they spend the entire night at the hotel.
