The new Fantasyland expansion at Walt Disney World will officially open December 6. The long awaited new Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom in the Orlando, Florida theme park is the largest expansion in the parks history.
Previews of the new and improved space will begin November 19 and will give guests the chance to experience some new attractions. What are the new additions? Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel's Grotto, Gaston's Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts are all new add-ons.
The ride portion of The Little Mermaid will be the same as the version of the ride at Disney California Adventure park but the entire exterior theme will be different. Ariel's Grotto will be the place where people can meet and greet the famous mermaid.
New food options such as the Be Our Guest Restaurant will provide a quick lunch service and then turn into table service with reservations at dinner.
The park will continue to expand into 2014 with attractions such as Princess Fairytale Hall-where Disney princesses greet guests and The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are highlights.
Earlier this year the first part of Storybook Circus opened which feathured Goofy as The Great Goofini, a Dumbo spinner, and Carol Pacific railroad station. The last part of Storybook Circus are expected to open before November.
