Monday night marked a technical dress rehearsal for the Olympic's opening ceremony, that will happen live on Friday and Danny Boyle is urging the audience to "save the surprise" for the Friday night extravaganza.
The hashtag #savethesurprise was showcased on a screen in the Olympic stadium before trending around the world via twitter. The social media campaign to keep the opening ceremony a secret asked that the thousands of people invited to the dress rehearsal to refrain from circulating photos or videos via social media.
Boyle and his team have done their best to keep any surprises and details of the opening ceremony underwraps and most viewers of the rehearsal seemed to have followed Boyle's wishes.
Many took to Twitter to show their support not giving away any suprises:
The event which is expected to be viewed worldwide by billions of people, received hundreds of amazing reviews from those who were lucky enough to be at the technical rehearsal. At the ceremony, an audience of approximately 62,000 is expected.
