Cruises are known for gluttonous buffets, old people, and relaxing on sun-drenched decks, pina colada in hand. But a number of cruise ship operators are switching up the cruise M.O. Horror movies your thing? Royal Carribean's got you covered. Need more "Top Chef" in your life? The Celebrity Chef Cruise ship might just be what you are looking for.

The Norwegian Pearl, organized by cruise organizer Sixthman, is hosting a KISS cruise for all you KISS fans out there. On October 31, the boat will depart on October 31 round trip from Miami to the line's private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. But want to know the best part? A ticketed indoor KISS concert, an acoustic KISS concert poolside, a KISS Q&A and a photo of you and your cabin mates with the band are all included. That should satiate almost any die-hard Gene Simmons fan, just be sure not to forget your clown makeup.

 

Tides of Torture Celebrity Pop Culture Cruise

Mark your calendar for this cruise event on Royal Carribean's "Monarch of The Seas". On August 27, from Florida to the Bahamas, The Tides of Torture Cruise ship will host a number of events on board, for pop-culture horror lovers. Held by Darkstar Fantasy Cruises, actors and actresses including Doug Bradley from Hellraiser, Kane Hodder from Friday the 13TH and Tov Savini from Dawn of the Dead amongst others will be in attendance.  Also included are autograph signings,  a film festival, celebrity poker and more.

 

Fitness and Running Cruise

For fitness buffs, Royak Carribean in conjunction with ESPN  International, has a running themed cruised. Running, both onboard and off are the main event. The seven night cruise departs on December 1 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to St. Maarten features sunrise and sunset runs, beach runs, kids runs and the main event-a 5k run on St. Maarten. 

 

Celeb Chef Cruises

Holland America has a variety of celebrity chef cruises available in 2012. Included are food and wine experts and celebrity chefs such as Bravo's season seven winner Kevin Sbraga and PBS's "Check Please!" host, Leslie Sbrocco. Also included are culinary demonstrations, tastings, and Q and A's brought on by The Culinary Arts Center Program on Holland America.
