Eddie Murphy has died...again... in the Twitter world.

Rumors were spreading around the social network that actor and comedian Eddie Murphy died on Wednesday. The tweets claimed that he died in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt, Switzerland.

The rumors are false and Eddie Murphy is still alive and kicking. Even his agent released a statement saying that he is doing well.

This isn't the first time that Murphy was the target of a twitter death hoax. He has reportedly died in five snowboarding incidents in Switzerland. According to WebProNews, in February, rumors were spread when Global Associated News reported "Actor Eddie Murphy is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - February 3, 2012. The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed."

Murphy has also died in a car crash in Australia according to another past rumor that was started on MediaFetcher.com.

The latest reports and tweets have left Twitter users mourning his death and skepticism.

User @AyeItsDeja believed the rumors, saying "Eddie Murphy Died . RIP <3 . RT to show RESPECT "

One of the top tweets was from user @CClineIII who wrote "Calling b/s. I don't believe these Eddie Murphy has died snowboarding tweets. Everyone knows that black people don't ski or snowboard."

Others took note of how often Murphy seems to die according to Twitter. @ManWhoThnksHeCn said "I swear Eddie Murphy dies twice a week on twitter..."

The only thing that might be dying is Murphy's acting career. The star hasn't done too much besides the voiceover of Donkey in the "Shrek" films and his last flop, "A Thousand Words."

Murphy is just one of many celebrities who have been killed by Twitter. Big names such as Adelle and Lady Gaga have even been victims. When rumors that Cher had died were circling around the social network, Kim Kardashian even fell for it. She wrote "Did I just hear that Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG. I'm praying it's not true." It wasn't. Cher was and still is fine.
