Usher's New Look Foundation in a nonprofit organization that helps ensure the success of young people as leaders throughout the world . Southwest Airlines is teaming up with the group in order to provide travel assistance to children so they can link with others around the country at places like Powered by Service Training, the Leadership Academy, and the World Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

"The New Look Foundation gives deserving youth the tools they need to be global leaders, and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of this effort," said Debra Benton, Southwest Airlines Director of Community Relations and Charitable Giving in a press release. "Southwest has a passion for bringing people together and inspiring change, and we are proud to support an organization that equips youth to positively impact their communities."

In their partnership with the New Look Foundation, Southwest Airlines recently supported the third annual World Leadership Conference in June where several seventh and eighth graders were in attendance.

The airline's leaders and Board members hosted a Community Day along with Atlanta native Veronica Biggins. The day featured a training workshop which helped the near 50 children who attended identify their special talents, pinpoint issues in their community, come up with ways to solve the problems, and then implement a solution that helps others.

One New Look youth leader got a chance to be a "CEO for a Day" at the conference. They got to shadow Southwest Airlines' Vice President of Ground Operations Jack Smith and gain an in-depth perspective on his role and responsibilities as a Southwest Leader.

Usher himself was at the conference. He explain "The World Leadership Conference is about motivating, inspiring and empowering today's youth to become future leaders. At a young age, someone believed in me and planted a seed that allowed me the opportunity to succeed. All youth need that opportunity and New Look is giving them the tools, resources, and the hope to do just that."

"Southwest Airlines is known for its commitment to service, which is one of New Look Foundation's four essential leadership pillars," said Shawn Wilson, New Look President. "We are proud to have Southwest among our major investors. Their support enables New Look to connect youth from diverse communities across the United States at our third annual World Leadership Conference in Atlanta."

Usher Raymond IV founded Usher's New Look Foundation in 1999. He started the group to find out what issues affect youth. As many children felt hopeless about their current situations, Usher wanted to give them a "new look" on life. The foundation strives to help youths strengthen their talents, education, careers, and service so that they can become future leaders.

The "Scream" singer is dealing with a rough time himself lately. His stepson has been declared brain dead after the 11-year-old got into a jet skiing accident.
