Isla Vista Shooting 2015 - A shooting in Isla Vista near the UC Santa Barbara left at least four people-comprising two alleged gunmen and two students-wounded. Hence, they were rushed to the hospital on Tuesday.

According to local reports, the Isla Vista shooting took place before 7:30 p.m. on Monday when residents heard a gunfire at a 6500 block of Sabado Tarde Road home, per NBC Los Angeles.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office identified the alleged gunmen as Jose Guadalupe Gutierrez of Goleta, 19, and James Joshua Taylor of Lompoc, 22.

An altercation was said to have occurred after the two alleged gunmen wen to the residence of the two UCSB students, who are reportedly in their early 20s.

Authorities said the two UCSB students, who were hurt by gunfire, knew Guiterrez. One had a wound in his abdomen while the other student obtained a chest wound.

The two students were rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Both are expected to survive following the altercation.

Guiterrez immediately fled the scene in a white sedan while local residents held Taylor until responding authorities arrived, reports ABC7.

A law enforcement team quickly set out to look for Guiterrez overnight but to no avail.

A couple of hours later, a Hispanic male arrived at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital claiming he had sustained injuries from a car accident on the UCSB campus.

Authorities quickly found out about the questionable young adult and discovered that he was the suspect they were looking for.

Detectives have yet to identify what started the altercation, but there is a big chance that it has something to do with drugs.

The two suspects were reportedly booked in absentia for investigation of the followingL murder, robbery, participation in a street gang and discharging a firearm causing great bodily injury, the Los Angeles Times has learned.

The Isla Vista 2015 shooting comes almost a year after a deadly rampage took place at the seaside community.
