Chinese authorities have now decided on what punishment they will be giving to a group of Chinese tourists including an unruly female passenger, who scalded a Thai AriAisa flight attendant's face with hot water and noodles.

According to New York Times, the rather uncalled for  action of the unruly passenger sprang from the seating arrangements that didn't allow her to sit with her group during a Tai AirAsia flight to Nanjing, China from Bangkok, Thailand last Thursday.

Despite supposedly having to bear only with temporary separation, the female passenger took it to her hands by throwing hot water and instant noodles to a flight stewardess, who even assisted them to their seats.

South China Marketing Post reports that it was not only because of the seating arrangements that drove the four Mainland tourists to become very unruly, but also the lack of a receipt for the purchase they made earlier.

In a video taken by one of the passengers of the flight that's getting a lot of attention online, one of the Chinese tourists could even be seen threatening the crew that he will "bomb the plane."

"The attendant burst into tears immediately," said the passengers who witnessed the incident. Her colleagues also quickly administered first aid.

Making things even worse was that the unruly female passenger from Anhui didn't apologize for what she did to the attendant.

The chief attendant even asked her to do so or the plane would return to Bangkok. To no avail, the unruly passenger didn't apologize, and some passengers told The Beijing Times, "We could feel the plane descending, but [the woman passenger] refused to apologise."

CNN has learned that while the plane was heading back to Bangkok, the unruly Chinese female passenger grew hysterical and she even hit the windows while threatening everyone that she would jump off the plane.

When the plane returned to Bangkok, authorities responded quickly and escorted the group of Chinese tourists from the plane. The other 174 passengers suffered at least 5 hours of delay from their intended landing time in Nanjing.

"The captain of the flight decided to return the plane to Don Mueang Airport [Bangkok's secondary airport] deeming her actions as endangering to other passengers and impeding in-flight service," Thai AirAsia said in a statement.

As per a statement from China's National Tourism Administration, the four tourists not only disrupted the flight and brought trouble for the other passengers, they also "badly damaged the overall image of the Chinese people," according to Daily Mail.

The Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Bureau has already decided to blacklist the Chinese tourists, but they did not specify the penalties they will be imposing.

The license of the tour guide leading the tourists was suspended for a year. The agency is also planning on punishing the travel agency that arranged the trip of the unruly passengers.
