Dominic Di-Natale died Wednesday and the county coroner believes he may have taken his own life at 43-years-old, New York Daily News reports.

Di-Natale's death comes just days after he covered the Ferguson riots over the death of Michael Brown. His body was found in Jefferson County, Colo., after a friend who, as per recent reports, knew the Fox News reporter's "undisclosed health issues, alerted the police.

Authorities confirmed that the journalist was found dead of an apparent suicide.

"We were extremely saddened to learn of Dominic's passing and send our deepest condolences to his family and friends," a Fox News representative said in a statement of Dominic Di-Natale's death.

"He was an esteemed journalist and an integral part of our news coverage throughout the Middle East," the statement continued, according to Yahoo! News.

As a reporter, Di-Natale covered many major stories. He even listed Osama bin Laden's compound following the terrorist leader's passing. He also went to Egypt's Tarhir Square amid the uprising against President Mubarak back in 2011.

Di-Natale began to work for Fox News in 2007 and since then has been an active broadcaster of the satellite news television channel.

An outpour of condolences emerged on social media following Dominic Di-Natale's death, Daily Mail has learned.

"So sad to hear Fox's Dominic Di-Natale has died. A great reporter, who off-air was always trying to help US troops. I will miss him," Fox anchor Megan Kelly tweeted.

"Dominic Di-Natale loved the military & never walked away from a tough story, died at 43. Rest in peace," former US Marine gunnery sergeant Jessie Jane Duff wrote.

"Damn shame about colleague Dominic Di-Natale, a terrific reporter I worked alongside in Iraq. He had severe health issues. Condolences & RIP," Geraldo Rivera posted on Twitter.

A Fox News spokeswoman said Di-Natale made his final appearance on Fox on Nov. 30 and he was not freelancing for the network since then.
