They originate from the Sahara in North Africa, but are breed as pets all over the world. It is the only breed of fox other than the Silver Domesticated Fox that can be kept as a house pet. They have very little body odor unless they are scared in which they let off a musky odor from the scent gland on their tail. The fennec fox spends over half of its time sleeping, but still requires a great bit of care and attention.

Kinkajou or "honey bear" is a rainforest mammal native to Central and South America. They are known to be a tad tricky as pets because they are strictly nocturnal and can be very aggressive. But people like to have them as pets because they are playful, quiet, have little odor, and can live up to a maximum of 40 years.

They are commonly kept as pets in El Salvador, Peru, Guatemala, and Honduras, but some people in the United States and other parts of the world have them.

For people who have always fantasized of having a wild cat for a pet, a serval is probably the best option. Servals are medium-sized, highly intelligent, wild cats native to the African Savannah. They weigh up to 40 pounds, and in proportion to their bodies, they have the longest legs of any cat in the world.

They are difficult to own as pets because they are highly active and require a lot of space to run. They are illegal to own in most states because they are wild cat and can be dangerous if not domesticated properly.

For bird lovers, a beautiful and friendly pet is the Hyacinth Macaw. The Hyacinth Macaw is the longest species of parrot and is native to Central and Eastern South America. This parrot is the perfect pet because it is very good with humans, quiet, gentle, intelligent, has an even temperament, and is sometimes even funny.

The issue is that this species is endangered, which makes it very challenging to buy for as a pet. They are also very expensive to buy due to their endangerment.

These are just a handful of the unique and majestic pets that exist around the world perfect for exotic animal lovers.
