Kentucky lottery will soon go online. For those who want to try their luck taking home the millions, they won't have to go through all the trouble of heading out. By fall, online sales are soon to start. This is the latest move despite the powerball sales dropping to 49 percent.

Some games of the Kentucky lottery will soon be available online. Sales of tickets will soon be accessed through smart phones, other mobile devices, and computers. The Kentucky Lottery Corporation had took this major step last Friday. The said move was done with GTECH in the hopes of developing a computer-based system for iLottery games and services.

With regards to the outcome of the Kentucky lottery, CEO and president Arch Gleason says the outcomes of negotiations with GTECH would determine the games which would be offered online. The handling of ticket sales will also be determined following the negotiation with GTECH.

"Many consumers today want to do business online, and we view this as a different channel to offer our games to new customers," says Gleason in the release, adding, "It's vital we stay up to date with our products, as students across the commonwealth depend on us for scholarship and grant proceeds."

In addition, Gleason added that Kentucky lottery going online isn't the only candidate for the said proposal. Mega Millions and Powerball are also the best candidates for online ticketing and online sales. In the middle of the action regarding Kentucky lottery set to go online, the sales for powerball has already dropped to 49 percent.

Apart from new involving Kentucky lottery set to hit online sales by fall, scratchoff tickets have been doing well according to Howard Kline. Draw game sales on the other hand have not been doing great with the lack of huge jackpot runs.
