Reports confirm that Miss Honduras was found dead a week after she went missing.

Beauty queen María José Alvarado is already close to her dreams after she was crowned as the country's representative for this year's Miss World. She is scheduled to fly to London to compete in the said prestigious world pageant. According to other related news, she has already packed her bags and ready to leave for London, but it is no longer going to happen.

In the earlier news, it was reported that on November 13, Alvarado and her 23 year-old sister, Sofía Trinidad Alvarado Muñoz, were last seen alive. The siblings who were at a birthday party at that time were later on spotted leaving the event riding in a car without a license plate. Two days after, the family of Miss Honduras files missing report since they're still not found.

Two suspects are named responsible for the killing of the ladies. According to BBC News, the suspects identified were identified as Aris Maldonado and the beauty queen's boyfriend, Plutarco Ruiz. Gen. Ramon Sabillon, the National Police director, said that Ruiz has actually confessed that he was the one who shot the ladies and buried them with the help of Maldonado.

The dead body of Miss Honduras and her sister were found after Ruiz pointed the location where they buried them. The site was about 240 miles (400 kilometers) west of Tegucigalpa. According to the report from Associated Press, Ruiz murdered his girlfriend after becoming jealous over another guy.

With the death of the young beauty queen, pageant organizer Eduardo Zablah said that Honduras will no longer send a representative to the Miss World competition to show their respect to the late contestant. After Alvarado's body was found dead, media has scrutinized the increasing crime rate in the said republic.
