Plots to kill Queen Elizabeth II were intercepted by British authorities on Thursday.

According to a recent report about the named member of the royal family, police successfully prevented the assassination planned against the Queen. The news of the arrest of the suspects reportedly came out days before her Royal Highness is set to attend different public occasions. One of the upcoming event highlights that the monarch leader is scheduled to visit is the commemoration of the end of World War I in 1918.

Earlier reports say that British police were able to arrest four Islamic terrorists as the main suspects for the plots aiming to kill Queen Elizabeth II. Authorities reportedly claim that the plan to assassinate the 88 year-old monarch will be carried out on Saturday at the Royal British Legion Festival at Albert Hall. Police say that the terrorists plan to stab her with the use of a knife; however, members of the authority strongly believe that the group of assassins also has an access to firearms.

On Friday, the end of World War I will be remembered in its 96th year since it happened. The mother of Prince Charles is also expected to lay the first wreath at Sunday Remembrance celebration. Despite of the discovered plot to kill the Queen Elizabeth II, reports say that she will still attend the weekend's events just as it was planned.

The assassination plan reportedly formed by the four terrorists whose age ranges from 19 to 27 is actually not the first time to try and kill the monarch leader. According to an article from the New York Post, Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip became the targets of the Lithgow Plot in 1970. According to the history, the couple was traveling from Sydney to Orange at that time when their train struck a large log which was allegedly placed on the tracks to cause the train to derail.
