Bill Simmons has been concocting a lot of trade rumors as of late, but there's no bigger prediction he made than the realization of the long-due deal between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics involving All-Star playermaker Rajon Rondo and power forward Amar'e Stoudemire. Plus, here's a couple of trade rumors that might pique your interest.

Rondo to Gotham City: Simmons, being a hardcore Green Machine fan, surprised everybody when he predicted the Celtics will finally make a deal for Rondo during the Bill and Jalen's NBA 2014-15 NBA season preview of his beloved franchise.

The Grantland editor-in-chief believed Rondo will be a goner in the next four months of the NBA year, with general manager Danny Ainge sending his All-Star playmaker along with Gerald Wallace to the Knicks in exchange for the expiring contract of Amare Stoudemire, Iman Shumpert, first-rounder in 2018 and a trade swap.

"Clairvoyant Bill thinks Rondo gets traded to the Knicks the next four months," Simmons said during the show. "And here's the trade. Rondo, Gerald Wallace to the Knicks, Amare's expiring, Iman Shumpert, 2018 first-rounder and a pick swap that will be protected at some point within the next five years for the Celtics and Knicks pick.

Rubio To The Brickyard Lane: Ricky Rubio hasn't gotten his contract extension yet, and it is no surprising he's being linked to several trade scenarios, including a possible trip to the Indiana Pacers.

Grantland messed up with the trade machine once again, and they found out that the Spanish wunderkind is very compatible with the Pacers, who need every ounce of joyful basketball from Rubio after losing their two premier scorers (Lance Stephen via free-agency and Paul George via leg injury) last summer.

"Rubio plays the game with so much joy. By the way, joy is a feeling of great pleasure or happiness. Between Paul George's injury, Lance Stephenson's departure, and Roy Hibbert's undoing, Indiana could use a little bit of it. Also, with the way Rubio shoots, I think it works for him to be playing so close to the Brickyard. Tip your waitress.

Pau Gasol Snubs Heat Once He Knows LeBron Leaving: Spanish power forward Pau Gasol revealed the Heat made a strong push to sign him last summer, but the uncertainly with the franchise following the departure of star player LeBron James apparently turned him off.
