Kevin Love, power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers, suffered a neck injury in the first half of Wednesday's winning game, 98-93, against the Indiana Pacers. David Blatt, the team's head coach, stated that Love has a stiff neck, but the team's spokesperson indicated that it was not a serious injury.

He sustained the aforementioned injury sometime during the game's first quarter, as he was seen on the bench stretching it before putting a warm wrap on the back of his neck. He returned to the game in the second quarter but seemed to have ended up hurting his neck even more after he was fouled.

Kevin Love immediately requested to be pulled from the game after his free throws. He returned to the bench to have his painful neck area treated right before halftime.

When the team returned to the court for the second half, Kevin Love was no longer found, as he opted to remain in the locker room for the remaining parts of the game.

Moreover, it looks like Blatt has quite a lot on his plate of late. Anderson Varejao sat tonight's game for maintenance purposes, while Tristan Thompson returned after missing the game on Tuesday due to a sore shoulder. It looks like the frontcourt of the Cavs is pretty banged up.

Kevin Love, before opting to stay inside the locker room, had five points in the game, four rebounds, and two assists in 17 minutes on Wednesday's game.

There was also a widely held assumption regarding the new look of the Cleveland Cavaliers for this season. Before the team was even able to break their first sweat as a group, many were quick to assume that Kevin Love will be taking a backseat, with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving controlling the ball.

However, the All-Star forward has rejected the premise and has opted to come up with his own paradigm. "I'm comfortable and just not trying to, I guess, fit in so much," Love said after the 106-100 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Kevin Love then added, "I had a talk with the guys on the plane ride over to Brazil and also at different practices off the floor and they told me to fit out. Just be myself."
