Amanda Bynes hospital hold might just exceed the original hold from 14 days to a year. Her parents are not to blame for the move but Bynes' doctors. The actress' doctors will now have to prove Bynes is "gravely disabled" to keep her in psychiatric confinement for a year.

TMZ was first to report about Amanda Bynes hospital hold that could likely last up to a year. Doctors of the former Nickelodeon star are seeking an LPH Hold. The LPH Hold is given by a judge that allows doctors to keep a patient under psychiatric confinement only if the patient has been proven to be "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism."

During such hold, Amanda Bynes may be forced to take meds during the LPS Hold. The parents of the actress have not released a statement regarding Amanda Bynes' hospital hold. Whereas Amanda is concerned, the actress is reportedly furious over her parents for tricking her into visiting a mental institution. The first recorded Amanda Bynes hospital hold was on Friday at the Las Encinas Hospital in California. Amanda was held for 72 hours to 14 days.

The reports on Amanda Bynes hospital hold came after the actress made headlines last week. The "Easy A" star had allegedly acted bizarre during her Manhattan trip. Reports also claim Bynes had shoplifted a hat at Barneys and stripped at a boutique at the Upper East Side. Before flying back to Los Angeles, Bynes' attorney had managed to intercept and take Bynes to a hospital in Pasadena.

For now, doctors of Amanda are seeking a new LPH Hold. This of course is not the first LPH Hold issued against Amanda Bynes. Amanda Bynes hospital hold happened a year ago when she poured gasoline on her dog and lit a fire in her neighbor's driveway in California.
