Roku milestone has been reached after selling 10 million units across the United States. Now that the Roku milestone of being the most popular streaming box in America has been reached, Roku has now edged further in the competition and has established a secure spot in today's market.

The Roku milestone has been achieved in a span of only six years, which is amazing, considering that it was a bit of a freshman in the market. The company was just set up in May of 2008. Back then, Roku was the first company that was capable of streaming Netflix to televisions.

At present, Roku's biggest rival is Apple. In fact, Apple has successfully sold 20 million units of Apple TV as of April. Surprisingly, Apple only launched its streaming player as a "hobby" back in 2007. However, when numbers rocketed to over $1 billion in highly impressive sales and revenue, CEO Tim Cook realized the potential and decided to get serious.

Despite the existence of Apple's Apple TV, Google's Chromecast, and Amazon's Fire TV, it has been reported that the streaming market has been owned by Roku milestone. Even if its sales fall a little behind Apple TV, Roku milestone boasts that the use-time for its boxes largely exceeds that of its rivals. According to Roku milestone, an average of 37 million hours of video is actually being streamed with the use of their Roku devices every week, compared to Fire TV's six million hours, Chromecast's 12 million hours, and Apple TV's 15 million hours.

Roku milestone has also mentioned that its network sports a total of 1,800 streaming channels, which turns out to be 1,000 channels more as compared to what its rivals have to offer. These figures have been depicted in the company's infographic image, which they shared to the public in celebration of their 10-million Roku milestone.
