Dustin Johnson will be taking some time off as he deals with his personal issues while the thought of him using drugs as the main problem is being considered.

The pro golfer will quite miss a lot of event this year as he decides to stand back and take a pause for a while. Including in the highlighted events that the athlete will be missing includes the US PGA Championship, FedEx Cup play-offs and the Ryder Cup in September. In a recent statement released by the golfer, he confirms that he will indeed be dealing some personal issues that he requires to take some amount of time.

According to the report from The Guardian, the statement released on Thursday by Hambric Sports Management says that the 30 year-old golfer's leave of absence will be effective immediately. Although it was not stated if how long the golfer will be away, it was confirmed that he will not be joining the Ryder Cup in September. Exact reason for Dustin Johnson's sudden leave was also not revealed although some issues with drugs are being raised.

In a personal statement issued by the golfer, it was mentioned that he will be seeking professional help for him to achieve a better status in terms of mental, physical and emotional aspects. With the statement that Dustin Johnson seeking professional help, it has been inevitable for many to think that he may be dealing with drug problems. He even asked for privacy at this point in his life.

"I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced," he said.

Way back in 2012, there has been a rumor claiming that the golfer has been serving suspension when he was out of the game for three months. In a Q&A last year, Dustin Johnson revealed that he had never been punished or reprimanded for any kinds of drug violation.
