Ray Rice's suspension after knocking down his girlfriend has gained criticisms as many believes it is quite an inappropriate action.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has recently come up with a decision of suspending the Baltimore Ravens running back for the first two games of the regular season after he had gotten into a physical confrontation with his former fiancée, Janay Palmer whom he is now married. Aside from the suspension that the 27 year-old player is facing, he was also ordered to pay a fine costing up to half a million dollars for his previous unpleasant actions. The NFL's sanction imposed on the player reportedly received many criticisms from sports commentators, but it seems like the organization tries to remain deaf about the said situation.

It can be recalled that Ray Rice and his girlfriend were involved in a fight way back in February which reportedly became too physical. The altercation between the player and Palmer took place in the elevator in Atlantic City. According to the previous reports, the Baltimore Ravens' running back has knocked off Palmer to the point that she became unconscious.

Andrew Alperstein, the player's attorney has already claimed that the physical confrontation between the couple was just a minor incident; however, that doesn't seem to fit. In a video obtained by TMZ, Ray Rice can be seen dragging his unconscious girlfriend and dropping her face on to the ground. The couple were reportedly both charged with domestic violence-simple assault after they were seen hitting each other.

The couple also refused to seek any medical treatments after the incident. What's shocking is that despite of the fact that Palmer was dragged and beaten by her boyfriend on February, the 26 year-old lady still chose to marry her fiancé. Ray rice who was set to marry his girlfriend during their altercation still managed to tie the knot with her despite of their physical confrontation.
