Queen's Guard video showing their rendition of the Game of Thrones is taking the internet by storm. The performance of the Queen's Guard doing their own rendition of the song from the famous series has surprised visitors of the Buckingham Palace. Apparently, people all over the world were also taken by surprise as they witnessed the amazing performance via YouTube. The viral video of the Queen's Guard performance has just gone viral.

According to The Telegraph, the impromptu rendition of the Game of Thrones theme tune by the Queen's Guard was done during the Changing of the Guard, and sighteseers were surprised.

It appears that the Queen is a fan of the critically-acclaimed show. While the series telling of the battle to reign over a throne has taken the world by storm, it seems that the Royals have been taken in too.

During the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London, tourists watching were in for a big surprise as the Queen's Guard veered from traditional routine and did a surprise number on the Game of Thrones theme tune.

It was a sightseer named Omer Barnea who was able to capture the Queen's Guard  on video while playing the tune during the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the official residence of the Royals, reports The Telegraph.

According to the Daily Mail, Barnea posted the video of the Queen's Guard via YouTube over the weekend.

In the video of the Queen's Guard, they donned their traditional attire of a red jacket and bearskin cap. The band played the beat of the popular US series while their comrades, the Queen's Guard, marched out into the forecourt outside the palace.

The band was probably inspired by Her Majesty's recent trip to Belfast, where she went touring on the set of the award-winning HBO show.

The Daily Mail reports that the Queen and Prince Philip went to the location in Northern Ireland where most of the HBO series was filmed. They reportedly met with the cast and crew of the show during the tour.

When offered a sit down on the "Iron Throne" of Westeros, the Queen even politely declined.

Despite Her majesty's refusal to sit down on the throne, she is probably a fan of the show, especially with the Queen's Guard showing proof with their performance.

According to the Daily Mail, the rendition of the Queen's Guard included military horns and drums. It was reportedly so convincing that it garnered a wide round of applause from the audience watching from outside the gates.

Posted only last week, the video of the Queen's Guard has already been viewed more than a million times in YouTube.

Comments from countless thrilled viewers even posted comments which branded the rendition of the soundtrack as 'epic'.

Thomas Zulli said of the rendition by the Queen's Guard, 'Epic rendition of an epic theme to an epic show.'

A YouTube subscriber named Tyronne Clark also said, 'Queen's Guard Performs Game of Thrones theme Like A Boss!'

According to reports, this viral video from the Queen's Guard is not the first cover of the Game of Thrones opening song. This year, the song from the famous series was also reinterpreted as a New Orleans-style jazz arrangement, a cheesy '80s synth romp, and a one-woman choral work, said the Daily Mail.

Queen's Guard took the internet by storm with their performance at the Buckingham palace to the tune of the Game of Thrones theme song. They could probably do a whole lot of other theme songs which the Queen approves of. The theme song was created by Grammy-nominated German composer Ramin Djawadi. He also also wrote music for Iron Man and Clash of the Titans.
