Mario Chalmers has re-signed with the Miami Heat on a two-year deal. Moments after his decision to stay in South Beach, the veteran point guard fires some shots apparently towards LeBron James for leaving the reigning four-time Eastern Conference champ.

Chalmers did not mince any word in showing his displeasure for seeing James leave the Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason, calling the four-time NBA MVP a coward for his decision to bolt out.

"I'm glad to say I'm back in Miami, #Heatnation there's still some of us left. The real ones stay, the cowards are here for the good times," Chalmers reportedly posted on his Twitter account before he deleted the comments several minutes later.

It was not the first time Chalmers indirectly criticized James this offseason. Days even before the free-agency starts, the Heat point guard posted a cryptic message that might have hinted everybody the forthcoming decision by James to leave the team.

"Gotta be wise bout people who only show up for the good times. Keep this in mind. Understand who's down for you. And who's just down for the moment," Chalmers posted on his Instagram account.

Just Bitter Rio

Chalmers could still be in a state of shock to see his team coming into the next season with its best player, but the bitterness of his recent message towards LeBron might have stemmed from his heated moments with the superstar for the past four seasons.

Last season, James was spotted several times yelling at Chalmers everytime he committed questionable decisions in their play. Rio was even dubbed the most yelled player in Heat uniform, because he always received the blame for miscues and turnovers on the floor.

Reloaded Heat Still Title Contender

Chris Bosh, who signed a whopping five-year, $118 million deal to stay with the Heat, believed the team remains a title contender despite losing the best player in the league in James.

"I think right now we have the correct infrastructure to compete for a championship," Bosh told Tom Haberstroh of ESPN.com. "We have to get much better at certain positions, and there's a bunch of things that have to continue to happen. But you know a team like the Spurs, they had a lot of guys that people underestimate, but as a team, they were outstanding."

Aside from Chalmers and Bosh, the Heat also signed two-time All-Star Luol Deng, Danny Granger, Josh McRoberts and Chris Andersen. Miami is also expected to retain the service of Wade for future seasons.
