A Southwest Airlines plane collided with a parked JetBlue plane at Boston's Logan International Airport on Monday.

The Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 was carrying 108 passengers with the collision occurred. The plane was prepring to depart for Kansas City and was being pushed back from its gate at Terminal E. While moving, the left winglet of the Southwest flight hit the right horizontal stabilizer of the JetBlue A-320 plane. The accident occurred at around 7:08 a.m. EST, the Boston Globe reports.

While the Southwest jet was carrying passengers and crew, the JetBlue aircraft had been parked at Gate 11 at Terminal C and was empty. The JetBlue flight did not sustain any damage. None of the passengers of crew members were injured on the Southwest flight.

Southwest Airlines was working to put the 108 passengers that were on board Flight 4552 on other flights to Kansas City. The plane was damaged and needed to be taken out of service for repairs and to undergo an inspection. The Southwest flight's wing sustained damage.

Passengers said they didn't notice much. One passenger told WBZ-AM radio that the collision felt like a "little bump. "I was glad it happened on ground and not in flight,'' Marcia Mitchell Cardello told the radio station.

Another passenger, Aubin Dubois of Dallas, told the radio station that it felt like the plane got stuck."I felt like we weren't able to move," she said. The passengers were able to see the damage once they got off the plane. No one was hurt.

Dubois says the airline offered them some compensation but little explanation. She said Southwest gave them $200 vouchers "They just told us we had to be patient and wait while they were assessing the damages," Dubois told NBC.

No other flights were impacted by the ground incident. The collision is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
