Imperial plane crash occurred in a residential are in Imperial Valley, California on Wednesday evening, according to media reports. Fortunately, despite the military aircraft colliding into a residential area, the Imperial plane crash resulted in no injuries from any civilians.

Officials said that the Imperial plane crash happened as a military jet smashed into a Southern California neighborhood and exploded in flames.

According to The Huffington Post, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar has confirmed the crash. They said that the pilot of the military Harrier fighter jet had ejected during the crash. According to MCAS Miramar's statement, the pilot of the Imperial plane crash was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Meanwhile, officials said that no civilians on the ground became injured due to the Imperial plane crash. However, two homes had reportedly caught fire after the Imperial plane crash. A third house was severely damaged as well.  A resident near the Imperial plane crash site by the name of Christopher Garcia told reporters that he was watching TV with his father and brother when he heard "a frightening boom." The 11-year-old reportedly saw a pilot in a parachute falling from the sky and a dark smoke two blocks away from his house. As the boy ran to site of the Imperial plane crash, he found one house with a collapsed roof, while a woman was shouting and cried, "That's my house!" According to the boy and other witnesses, neighbors were in a panic and seem to be running in every direction.

Marine Lt Col John Ferguson said that remains from the Imperial plane crash jet had hit the roof of one of the houses. The house was immediately destroyed while another explosion and fire destroyed the house beside and badly damaged another.

Meanwhile, the pilot manipulating the jet that caused the Imperial plane crash landed in a nearby field after he ejected from the plane. Ferguson said that the pilot of the Imperial plane crash was taken to a hospital for evaluation and has since been released.

According to the Associated Press, the Imperial plane crash jet, a Harrier AV-8B, had taken off from Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma. Ferguson said that the pilot was reportedly almost at his destination at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro when he ejected and the jet crashed for unclear reasons.

Imperial plane crash incident had residents of eight homes evacuation for an investigation and cleanup. Officials said that the residents have now returned to their houses.
