Ryanair
Two Ryanair flights collided on the runway at London Stansted airport, ripping the wind tip off of one jet and causing passengers to disembark.

A man who smacked the butt of a flight attendant on his way home from his bachelor party may face jail time just two months before his wedding.

Peter Thompson, 48, was highly intoxicated on a Ryanair flight from Alicante, Spain to Bournemouth in Dorset when he harassed a flight attendant, the Daily Mail reports.

Thompson called the flight attendant "pretty" and said he "loved her" before he climbed on to a friend's lap and smacked the flight attendant's butt as she walked by. The flight attendant, who has not been identified, smacked Thompson's hand away and told him not to do it again.

Thompson had to appear in Bournemouth Magistrates Court following the incident. He pled guilty to being drunk on the flight and one charge of assault.
The prosecuting attorney, Lee Turner, read a statement from the flight attendant before the court, saying that Thompson called the woman pretty and expressed his love for her. "He was looking at me as if I was a piece of meat," the statement said. She says she noticed that the man moved from his seat and was sitting on his friend's lap.

"As she walked past he smacked her bottom with his open right hand. She pushed his hand away and said 'Don't do that again,'" Turner read.
"He wasn't aggressive, she thinks he was trying to be funny but was actually very disrespectful," he added.

The court learned that Thompson had drank alcohol and took a antihistamine tablet before his flight on May 4. He was also sold a discounted alcoholic drink by the flight attendant on the plane.

Defense attorney, James Moore claims that Thompson was feeling good and was excited to see his fiancee when the incident occurred. Thompson claims he flailed his arms to express his excitement and accidentally slapped the flight attendant's butt as she walked by.

"He's sat on the arm of a chair with a friend. He's barely aware that he's even touched her," Moore said. "Unfortunately, she got this wrong."

"What we have here is a man not intentionally making contact with the flight attendant. It wasn't nasty, it wasn't malicious, it didn't cause any trouble. This is not a sinister, nasty offence, it didn't put anyone at risk," Moore said.

Thompson will be sentenced on June 16, two months before his wedding.
