'Avengers: Infinity War' Shooting Real Disaster Scenes In Atlanta, Casting Real Emergency Responders
Marvel is already in full bloom with its production for "Avengers: Infinity War" and the crew are already filming in two locations: one in Atlanta and the other in Edinburgh, Scotland. Real disaster scenes are being shot in Atlanta, and Marvel is casting real policemen and firefighters for the scene.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution revealed the casting call for the movie and they said Marvel is looking for real emergency responders to be part of "Avangers: Infinity War." The studio is said to be looking for men and women who are real police officers, EMT's, and firefighters.
These emergency responders should have tactical experience, are over 18 years of age, and can be of any ethnicity. Men are also said to have a waist line of no more than 36 inches to fit in the uniforms, while women would need a dress size of 0 to 8.
Screen Rant reports that the casting call is for the real disaster scenes that Marvel is shooting for "Avengers: Infinity War." It is expected that "a certain level of destruction" will be happening and the actors are expected to respond to that destruction.
The report adds that the call for real heroes to be part of the "Avengers: Infinity War" is a touching homage to the everyday heroes of the world. The emergency responders will likely be playing roles that are in the background of the actors or the extras. But it won't be bad, considering Marvel is known to put the extras in the spotlight for a touching moment or to add some humor.
According to Comic Book, the scene that's going to be filmed is likely a chaotic sequence or an aftermath of a battle. The battle is probably something that involves main protagonist Thanos, played by Josh Brolin.
Filming for the said sequence will take place on July 5 - 9 and those who are interested are expected to attend a fitting in Fayetteville on June 12. The pay for the role will be $68 for eight hours. Check out the video that signals the beginning of "Avengers: Infinity War's" production.
