As a traveler, you know that visiting Thailand at least once in your life is necessary. This country is one of Southeast Aisa's tourist hot spot attracting thousand, if not millions of visitors every year. Its amazing attractions such as pristine beaches, exotic jungles and delicious cuisines that are coupled with cheap prices are just irresistible for every traveler. Now, here's your travel guide when visiting Thailand.

Accommodation. Is staying in Thailand expensive? The answer to that is a firm no. If you stay in the city, guest houses can cost around 300 THB per night but if you stay in the countryside, it can go as low as 200 THB per night. However, if you stay at fancy hotels and island resorts, prices may start around 1,350 THB to 1,700 THB per night according to Nomadic Matt.

Transportation. Getting around Thailand is easy and cheap. Buses would cost as low as 8 THB while Metro and Skytrain would cost between 15-50 THB for a one-way trip. Metered taxis would be somewhere between 60-100 THB per trip depending on the destination. But take note that tuk-tuks are more expensive because they're unmetered. If you want to save more money, get a bus/boat package if you're visiting an island rather than purchasing separate tickets.

Business Operating Hours. According to Frommer's, most shops such as grocery stores and department stores are open between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM depending on its location and services offered. Meanwhile, government offices are only open during weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4: 30 PM. For TAT visitor centers, operating times are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

Food. Thailand is just full of exotic and native dishes. If you prefer street food, prices are as low as 20 THB. However, if you still want your western meals, prices are around 170-340 but can even go higher in fancier restaurants.

Popular Activities. Various day tour activities would cost between 500-1,200 THB while jungle trekking has a rate between 1,000-1,685 THB per day. Just remember that foreigners would pay more compared to locals so go in groups if you want to save money.

Make sure that you put Thailand on your bucket list because it's really worth visiting. The memories and experiences you'll make here are just priceless.
